Nature and Conservation Society: Communications Officer

Hello all! I’m Yeabi and I’m a first year Biological sciences student and next year I’m going to study biodiversity and conservation. In my spare time I enjoy riding on my long board and also enjoy spending time on social media. These days social media now has a big influence; everyone can be an influencer. It is the easiest and cheapest way to influence others and make a change. Therefore, I want to nominate myself for the communications officer for the next academic year. I believe I have the ability to organise the official social media accounts, such as instagram, in a way to get more people to appreciate nature and conservation. I can help our society to design nice, attractive and clear posters for activities. I can launch online interactions about nature and conservation and find ways to get people active. Also, I can record vlogs for our society's activities, such as bird walks, and post them online allowing people to familiarise themselves with the society and even attract new members. I hope to revitalise the social media accounts and make them more educational in order to get more people to care about nature and conservation. Thanks.
