I would love and cherish the opportunity to be your Chamber Choir Manager next year. I loved being this year’s Symphony Chorus Manager with Ursula, which has given me insight into the organisation and commitment required for such a role and I now have an understanding of how the Music Committee is run. I feel this role  has given me the experience and the skills to try something with a bit more responsibility next year. I have loved being a member of the Chamber Choir this year; I have been able to sing repertoire with the most lovely people at such a high level and this has been one of the highlights of my second year. I would love to be involved in choosing beautiful venues for our Chamber Choir to perform in next year. I have met so many fun and wonderful people this year, and would love to be your Chamber Choir Manager next year!

I have thoroughly enjoyed singing with Chamber Choir over the course of this year. If elected as Chamber Choir Manager, I would hope to maintain the high standard of music produced by the choir (the Friday pub trips) and create more opportunities to perform every term. I would like to arrange a Choral Evensong in the first term, allowing the choir to explore some slightly different and exciting repertoire. I would also encourage a more collaborative discussion when choosing new music to ensure that most members of the choir enjoy singing through the new material. I would also like to propose a Choir tour, providing the choir with the opportunity to perform in new spaces, either abroad or in the UK.

I started singing as a Chorister in Durham, and I have performed in choirs ever since. Last year, I was a Choral Scholar at University College Oxford, singing in a weekly Evensong.
