Angelica K Ngai

Hi everyone! My name is Angelica and I am a 2nd year History student. I am very passionate about giving back to our community, hence why I have been volunteering and fundraising for different organisations since I was 14: in 2015, for example, I fundraised 300 pounds for Seeway Tanzania, a Tanzanian charity; from year 8 to year 11 I volunteered at the Qing Pu Long school for children of migrant workers; in year 12 and 13 I volunteered at the Emily Jackson care home for the eldery; and in my gap year I volunteered for the Hong Kong Society for Refugees and Asylum seekers in my gap year. As Head of Volunteering and Community Outreach, my goals are to 1)expand our member base on campus and 2) to make a difference to our local community. If elected, I will organise the following projects:

Tiktok interviews on campus - essentially, we will interview people with the best fits on campus and ask them to break down their fit (where they got it from, the price etc). At the end we will tell them about MODO and ask them to follow us on instagram; this will help raise awareness of our society and expand our membership base; UCL vintage market; Clothing customisation workshops; and paid styling sessions.

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TOWARDS CAUSES/ WHICH MODO MEMBERS CAN VOTE ON.
