Medical Society: Secretary

Hi all, I'm Xinrui and I am running to be your secretary for this year!

I am an active member of medical society in the past few years. I have been a Welfare and RAM subcommittee. Through experiences of organising and promoting events, I believe I have good organisational and communication skills required by this role.

The MedSoc bulletin is an important part of medical society, updating us with new available opportunities every week. I look forward to writing it up, and I hope to introduce some new changes as follows:

1. Introduce a new section about upcoming MedSoc events. This prevents you from spending unnecessary time to look for events/talks of your interest and more time spent on deciding which event you’d like to go.

2. Easier way to contact the secretary about event promotion. The current way to promote an event on the bulletin is through emailing the secretary. But by having a google form template, this avoids the dread of having to think hard about what to write in the email.

3. Add categories to the bulletin. I wish to categorise the events/opportunities into the following groups: conference, recruitment, research, surveys, and other. Therefore, it's easier for you to locate and look out for opportunities of your interest.
