Medical Society: Clinical Skills Co-ordinator

Hi everyone! I’m Irene, I am a 4th year student and I am running to be the Clinical Skills Co-ordinator.

Developing competence in our clinical skills is essential as future health care professionals. I understand that approaching these skills can be a bit daunting initially. Therefore, I would like to host some additional workshops in order to help medical students gain the confidence they need to not only pass OSCEs, but to also become more confident health care professionals.

Below I have highlighted some of my past experiences that demonstrate my suitability for this role. I have been a transition mentor and senior mentor. As a result, I have had to organise tutorials and teaching sessions. I am the current Oncology Chair and Vice-President for KEEN UCL. Consequently, these roles have helped me to develop the skills necessary to organise workshops and to lead a team.

I would like to use my skills to deliver the best content possible!
