Ruth R Zachariah

Hello fellow Malayalis,

My name is Ruth and I am currently in my second year studying Information Management for Business student in the School of Management. I have held a number of leadership positions in the past including academic representative of my cohort and head of events at the UCL Data Science Society etc. I believe that the knowledge and experience that I have gained thus far will help me serve you as the Vice President of the UCL Malayali Society to the best of my ability.

If elected I hope to start new initiatives withing the society as well as improve existing ones-

  1. Host events/showcases for all major festivals Onam, Vishu etc. for members and to share our culture with the wider UCL community.
  2. Increase the number of community events where members can meet and socialise
  3. Cultural days where members and non-members can embrace traditions and showcase them via, song, dance, music, fashion, food etc.

Additionally, I promise to always listen to and amplify the voice of the members and always put your needs and interests first.

Whether you want to join me for a parzhampuri and kattan chai or reminisce about the breath-taking backwaters of Kerela, please feel free to contact me via email or Instagram.
