Knitting Society: Events Officer

Hey, my name is Ksusha and although I only joined the KnitSoc in September, I immediately fell in love with the crafts of knitting and crochet and the society!

I’m running for the Events Officer position because I’d love to be on the committee and help organize extra events, such as yarn shop trips, workshops for related crafts like cross-stitching and macrame and socials where we get to hang out and relax (even though our regular knitting sessions are super relaxing too). I am also excited to collaborate with the whole committee to make the members’ experience amazing – I’m ready to help out with every function!

I would also like to teach beginner knitting and crochet sessions next year to welcome all the newcomers to our society, as that’s how I started off back in September! I want to share the amazing feeling of satisfaction from making something out of a ball of yarn, using needles or a hook.

All in all, KnitSoc brought me so much relaxation and allowed me to forget (at least temporarily) my everyday worries and being so passionate about it, I think I will be able to make the experience of our members amazing by being on the committee.
