I am a huge fan of Kinesis magazine. Every issue is released with such care and professionalism enabling it to have expanded so far in the little time that it has existed. It is of the utmost importance that Kinesis is shared to receive even more deserving recognition than it already has. The future of Kinesis is expansion and elevation if more UCL life science enthusiasts get the chance to write, edit, and contribute to the publication. And more people around the world will consume and enjoy the noteworthy content that is released.
Therefore, the role of Marketing Officer is incredibly important. I would make it my mission to spread the word about this distinguished publication. I can bring creativity and innovative thinking to my approach to advertising to attract readers and prospective contributors. My effective communication skills from previous experience in leadership roles will aid me in appealing to the public and advertising Kinesis effectively. I have a good understanding of social media which is also an essential attribute for the role.
Overall, I love life sciences and I love Kinesis. My enthusiasm for this incredible organization will shine through my efforts as a Marketing Officer.
Hi, I’m Priya!
Within Kinesis, I've explored an array of scientific topics by writing articles about malaria and microplastics (keep an eye out for my Issue 10 article on star-nosed moles!) and writing the podcast episode scripts, most recently looking into de-extinction and Alzheimer’s disease.
Kinesis is such a fun community full of others with enthusiasm and eagerness for scientific communication – using my social media marketing experience, I’d love to promote all of the exciting things going on, such as issues, articles and socials.
Please vote for me to be your Kinesis Marketing Officer for the next academic year!
Hey everyone! I am Madhumila Killamsetty, a 1st-year Msci Biological Sciences student.
After participating in the socials and publications at Kinesis and meeting people as passionate about life sciences as me, I realized that I want to contribute more to this society. I believe the Marketing Officer post will align perfectly with my interests and abilities.
For 2 years, I was in charge of advertising various events held in my high school on social media platforms. During this period, I learned a lot about marketing and advertising and acquired management and leadership skills.
As a marketing officer, I plan to advertise our society well and take it to new heights.
If elected, I plan on interacting with various researchers in the life sciences industry and along with having them as guests in our podcasts, I plan on including some of their work/articles in the special issues of our magazine. I will take charge of the social media page and actively advertise our work. I am also keen to go live on Instagram periodically to have a closer interaction with the society members and attend to their queries. For freshers week, I plan on putting in effort and working with our team to create an attractive stall to attract more students to join our society. I believe my communication and public speaking skills can come into use here.
Thank you for reading and I truly hope you consider me for this post.
