Ciao a tutti! My name is Francesco and I am a 2nd year PPE student looking to run for the position of Events Officer. As we now begin to move on from Covid-19 and aim to fully return to normality, I hope that as your Events Officer I can help continue to organise such wonderful events as we have been able to experience this year for all Italy-loving people at UCL by:

  1. Hosting numerous speakers from influential political speakers to celebrated Italian artists
  2. Teaming up with other societies to organise bigger and more ambitious events
  3. Establishing better connections with Italian societies across other London Universities to bring together fellow students

I believe that my strong desire to help continue growing UCL's Italian society will allow me to bring you guys the best possible events! I look forward to receiving your support!

Veronica Bitonti

Hello everybody!

I am Veronica, a first year undergraduate reading maths and I am running for the post of event officer for the UCL Italian Society. During this last year I have had the opportunity to be an active member of the society and I can’t wait to meet new people who will join us next year! My experience with the UCL Italian society so far has been very positive as I have had the chance to learn a lot from the other members and I have been truly amused by all the events they have organised. This has led me to want to be more involved in the community as the event officer. Thanks to the Italian Society I have met some of my dearest friends and as an event organiser along with the other members of the community I am positive that we can take part in unforgettable events that will become lifelong memories. There are events that will suit everyone’s interest from those more strictly academic to social events that will allow us to get together and immerse ourselves in Italian culture and experience it in all its forms and diversity. I have in mind a list of speakers that could be invited and we could connect with other Italian Societies from London and beyond to organise and take part in events together. Any other ideas that you may have are welcome and I would be more than happy to share them with the other committee members in order to try to make them come true!
