Debolina Pal

I have been singing both Indian and English music from a very young age alongside playing the piano and the harmonium. Consequently, this has given me a good understanding of music which I think would be useful in this role, especially when putting together performances for events (such as) like Sangeet and Jashn. I have experience performing in and organising musical performances both at school and at university. As one of the choreos for the Rangeela music act, I auditioned participants, pieced together songs, and ensured a high-quality performance. I displayed teamwork skills and effective communication. Moreover, having performed at the aforementioned events, I have gained insight into the preparation behind these performances such as sourcing instruments, mics and organising rehearsals. Given my leadership experience, musical background and communication skills, skills that I have nurtured through being a school prefect and working with the senior leadership team at school, I believe I am well equipped for this role. I am passionate about music and Indian culture and therefore, would ensure that the high standard of music within Indian Society is maintained and so, would be a great fit for this role.
