Hockey Club (Women's): Media Secretary

Media has always a big part of getting external people to know the club and giving information out to members of the club. Over covid I think we did a really good job of making sure there was a big focus on the club’s social media so that everyone could feel involved and included and I would like to bring back that focus. Getting back on weekly match roundups and a ‘what’s on this week’ (e.g. training times, fitness, Wednesdays socials, weekend matches, any volunteering activities) and a monthly volunteering/welfare roundup would just be a starting point. I also want to make it more interactive using polls to see people’s thoughts on certain aspects of the club, getting people involved in quizzes and challenges online. As well as this, having been on committee I know there’s a lot of amazing things we do that we should show off so I wouldn’t hesitate to contact people and be proactive about what we want to see on the social media. Finally, doing architecture means I spend half my life on photoshop so can give the Instagram a snazzy revamp! (don’t believe me? just check out the nomination photo).
