Election post
Being an FYR at HSOC has single-handedly been one of the fondest and most significant parts of my journey at UCL this year. I've been directly involved in organising all HSOC's flagship events, such as Rangeela, D-Ball, and Garba, and have worked with and closely observed the tasks of the Executive Director first-hand. I am confident that my passion and dedication to this society would allow me to seamlessly fulfill this role's demands. It's been amazing getting to know the current committee members and understanding their roles in running the society. I believe I have a vivid understanding of what is needed to run this society successfully and can provide sound advice to the president and treasurer while assisting with societal operations.
My sociable nature allows me to engage with all types of individuals, from venue staff to freshers! Organisation and planning come naturally, and I would invest time working through event planning logistics. As a leader and a team player, I would actively put forth new ideas in group discussions while actively implementing suggestions and concerns, acting as a liaison between society members and the committee throughout my role.
As one of the only committee members having grown up in India for most of my life and thus being constantly surrounded by Indian culture, I'll be able to promote a culture-rich, inclusive atmosphere for all members, home or international, to thrive and have loads of fun throughout my tenure.
