Isabella S Guarnieri

I have been a HERcampus member for over a year and have enjoyed countless opportunities to write for an amazing magazine. I enjoy writing about current topics and issues, more specifically that of beauty, social media and mental health. I believe HERcampus is a space where everyone's voice is positively listened to. I am running for this position as I am also particularly passionate about editing. I love reading other people's work and helping where I can - I know I have greatly appreciated editorial help in the past. Not only is it a position where I can improve my own skills but I can also help others and that is particularly fulfilling for me.

Anshika Malhotra

Hi everyone! I’m Anshika, I’m passionate about all things art and music, and needless to say – I encompass a love for words. I discovered HerCampus [annoyingly!] recently and have truly fallen in love with the niche it educed for me. But that of course, is not reason enough to convince you of why I should get your vote! So here’s a summary of my two predominant visions:

  1. I want to encourage inclusivity. In today’s age of social media, there is power held by everyone’s pen - the power to heal, to hurt, and to hinder. However, voices often get lost in translation. Thus, I wish to allow international studentsthe opportunity to explore their voice in their native language.
  2. I am determined to facilitate in-person socials. I know, sounds cliche - but to think of how fulfilling it’d be to take trips to poetry cafes and bookshop crawls, and to hog ice cream and fudge cakes during movie nights, doesn’t it sound exciting? A chance to truly get to know your team outside of the magazine.

Lastly, I hope it goes without saying that I will continue to uphold everything that this committee already is and already does. I understand the trust placed in my pen to shape final version of some of the most intimate pieces submitted to us, and will do everything in my power to bring the best version of your words to life. And, I will unwaveringly lend you the brush to paint grey in a world blinded by the innate colours of black and white (dramatic, I know!).
