For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart – Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
This year, I have loved being a part of VOCE (in personn). I never realised the power of community and fellowship until now – especially with those who are at a similar stage of life and with those who look and sound like you.
The real reason why this is the case is that I saw so many ambassadors of Christ around me, embodying the Word of God. The people I know at VOCE are patient, kind, joyful, prayerful, and wise because these characteristics have been written in Scripture and instilled into our minds by the Holy Spirit.
It’s so important that we continue to grow in this way! Studying the Bible is a lifelong course and I want to help us continue doing so. I want to help us learn and understand the countless promises of God, the characters of the Bible and the wisdom that comes from it. I want us to continue to be the light at UCL and bring people to hear the Word, but we can only do this if we know it ourselves!
