German Society: Welfare Officer

Hey everyone! I am Danilo and I would love to be your welfare officer for the amazing German Society! I have been part of the committee this past year and I have loved meeting you all and learning so much about German culture (I also plan to learn the language more well during the summer!). As your welfare officer I will ensure that I am always there for members to help with any issue at all and sign post to appropriate services, and provide regular updates and support. I will be there to help with any issues, however big or small, and ensure that all members are happy, supported and comfortable. I will also help organise more events such as Joint Stammtisches and food events (e.g. cooking lessons), as well movie nights and fundraisers for good causes. I have been part of many societies committees this year and will hopefully be part of several cultural ones next year (such as the European and Austrian Society) and thus I have a lot of connections to organise a lot of great collabs and events! I'd also love to create a penpal system so that members can connect with uni students in Germany. I will help make the German Society the best it can be!
