Gaming Society: Events Officer

I am a second year Psychology student, and I am passionate about online games, specifically CSGO and League of Legends. 

As a current player in one of the CSGO teams, meeting with other like-minded gamers has been a really enjoyable experience. Meeting new friends through in-person events is important, as well as feeling a sense of community with other gamers.

As a role of events officer, I am excited to be organising competitions and social events for all kinds of games to connect gamers together to have a fun time.

Hi all, I am Pasta. I am currently a second year student studying mechanical engineering with business finance, and I am nominating myself for the events officer position of the gaming society.

I aim to bring more events to the society, such as LAN events, social events and esports watch parties. I really enjoyed the variety of events we had during this year, and it was great to finally meet everyone. While competing with and against each other was fun, it was the social IRL events which I enjoyed the most and I would like to bring more of those to everyone. I would also like to make sure that events are accessible and inclusive of everyone.

As a highly adaptable and responsible person, I believe that I possess the skills required to be a good events officer. Although I have not directly organised any events for the gaming society as of yet, this is a good opportunity for me to start doing so. My experiences in organising and helping out in other events such as shows and competitions would make me well-equipped to bring more and better events for everyone.

Hi, my name is Julian (or you might know me as DDingus on discord). Gaming is my main hobby and through this society, I’ve been able to bond with many great like-minded people over video games. I have thoroughly enjoyed making new friends online and at in-person events. As an events officer, I hope to organise many new events to give everyone the chance to socialise and meet new people while having fun.
