After being Club Secretary for a couple of terms now, I understand how the committee works and my personal responsibilities within that. Whilst it is common knowledge that Club Secretary is the easiest position, I feel I can challenge myself a little more, which is why I am running for Welfare Secretary.

After now being apart of the best club at UCL for two years, as well as the best team in the club, the 3XI, I can confidently say that I have made some great friendships and that I am easily approachable, which I think would be a key part of being Welfare Sec.

By the nature of my degree, I am pretty much always at socials, ensued by carnage at Scala, meaning that I would be available consistently to be present for a chat with anyone. The open nature of my course would also allow me to attend welfare workshops consistently, which I can then relay to the committee/teams/club.

Being drafted in as Tour Sec with Sam for this summers tour, I've started to contact the Union more, which I understand would also be important part of the job.

Communicating with other sports groups and societies would be pretty easy and answering messages on the Instagram as Club Sec this year is a fairly transferable skill.
