Anshika Malhotra

Hi everyone! I’m Anshika, and without further ado, I accredit myself as a perfect fit for this position, predominantly, in view of my experience in both in-bound and outbound marketing that lends me the motivation to grow the Entrepreneurs Society and reach mass audiences! I know nobody likes to read large lumps, so here’s a summary of my experience:

In 2020, I founded Menteere (an ed-tech platform) with a team of 30+. It has been operational for 22 months, and I’m responsible for overseeing sales & marketing, the core UI/UX, coupled with the company’s overall branding and media interaction. In my tenure, my team and I have:

  • developed a mentor base of 150+ students globally
  • sold 120+ hours
  • signed B2B deals with 10 institutions
  • mentored 1200+ students
  • been recognised by and accepted into Forbes top 5 incubator programs: Skydeck Pad-13
  • accepted into: UC Berkeley's premier Accelerator Program: Convergent and the FFC
  • Other awards - Columbia Business School's Best Pitch Competition, Entrepreneurs@Berkeley Demo Day, YNG+ top 10 start-ups

In addition, I interned at a growing fast-food chain based called ‘Crepe-Fe’, where I led a team of 5 - revamped social media with 650+ posts, and increased engagement by 83% to 10k followers! I also assisted in media commercials, created interactive content and organised advertisement campaigns

Marketing is my passion, and I look forward to a fruitful experience working with the Entrepreneurs Society!

Selin Sayiner

Hi! My name is Selin, and I am a second-year Management Science student. This year, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Marketing Executive for UCLE, which made me appreciate the immense support UCLE gives to eager-minded individuals who want to start their own ventures. Through my course, online marketing programs, and my role within UCLE, I gained a deeper understanding of how to create appealing digital content to achieve authentic engagement.

As the Marketing Director, I would aim to improve communication between students and our guest speakers/sponsors. I would increase our reach on all of our social media platforms and further enhance UCLE’s brand image. By providing engaging content to our members, I would aim to give them the best value they deserve.

During my time in UCLE, I understood the value of collaboration and creativity to create a bigger impact. Not only did UCLE become like a family, but it also allowed me to have a glimpse into my career trajectory forwards. Therefore, I believe my skills and experience within the society will allow me to further improve our value delivery and guide students throughout their entrepreneurial journeys to bring their innovative ideas to life.

Kenson F Chung

Being the charity committee prefect and the president of the Psychology society of my high school, one of its most popular societies with over 50 active members, I routinely organised weekly talks, social events and sales. All these roles have sharpened my marketing, communication and time management skills.

I am extremely proficient in combining Canva, Photoshop and Procreate to produce eye-catching, high-quality and time-efficient advertisements, having created one per week for my previous roles. This skill stems from my long-term interest in design and the arts, having started studying visual arts from the age of 5. This means that I am fit for creating all of the promotional material for the society, including posters, leaflets, presentations and more.

Additionally, to effectively advertise these events, I have developed the abilities to give clear and concise descriptions of our events in a convincing manner on social media.

Finally, I am very skilled at web design using Figma and Adobe XD, having consistently practiced and created websites/apps in the last two years. Although it may not be directly relevant to this position, this background has made me acutely aware to design details and how to adapt based on the user demographic.

Louis Ho

I’m Louis and I’m running for Director of Marketing at UCLE. My main goal is to enforce and develop a strong UCLE society branding and to provide you with an enriching experience. As a creator and designer of several personal and corporate websites, I have experience in design, marketing and website analytics. I have also managed and created content for a financial services company using social media platforms such as Facebook and Linkedin.

As the Director of Marketing, I will:

  • Create more educational posts and stories to inform our members of interesting entrepreneurial theories and entrepreneurial success news through social media platforms (e.g. Instagram and Facebook) on a biweekly basis
  • Improve and develop a strong UCLE society branding
  • Implement podcast interviews with industrial experts and UCL alumni where members can submit questions

Vote for Louis, vote for someone who can provide rewarding experiences you deserve and improve UCLE’s society branding.

Aryan Agarwal

Greetings everyone! I am Aryan, a 1st year CS Student running to be the society’s Director Of Marketing for 2022.

I was my school’s cultural captain and the I.T head of its Model United Nations Society. These two roles demanded a significant amount of networking, promotion, and marketing. Persuasion was the most crucial ability I learned. As an international student, I would have a broader network, and my second year of study would be packed with insight weeks, internships, and networking opportunities. Every individual has an entrepreneurial spark, it just needs to be ignited. I would encourage and persuade more people to find their inner entrepreneur through the society.

Digital marketing is also essential. Circulation of information helps spread awareness, but branding is required to make a lasting impression. A solid marketing strategy ensures both. If elected, my top priorities would be:

1. Establish an Identity: Create references that are directly associated with the society, such as a motto or a tagline.

2. Run Digital Ad Campaigns: To expand the reach of the society.

3. Host Promotional Events: To provide individuals with a glimpse of entrepreneurship.

I take pride in being a member of this community and would do everything to help it grow. I would not only make interested people aware of the society, but would also make the society aware of the disinterested and urge them to join the society and ignite their entrepreneurial spark.

Aadya Bhagat

Hi! My name is Aadya Bhagat and in my first year I have had the privilege to be a member of UCL Entrepreneurs society from which I have learned that our Social Media and Newsletter reach is essential to garner interaction and involvement across people from all courses.

Working amongst my fellow members in Entrepreneurs soc, I have developed an understanding of cross divisional work across all pipelines and aim to work closely with all teams to effectively sponsor events and manage the teams brand image.

Having completed professional certifications in Adobe photoshop and creative cloud and winning 4 competitions for brand design the past year have allowed me to effectively use my creative skill to persuade audiences and foster engagement.

My aim as director of marketing for Entrepreneurs soc is as follows:

1) More publicity!! An effective use of the society’s social media, website and online platforms.

2) Promoting UCLe professionally and allowing it to be recognised on a larger level using networking websites like Grad-cracker, Target Jobs, LinkedIn and Indeed.

3) Redesigning and individualising the weekly newsletter and other promotional material which can be distributed virtually.

4) Working closely with all teams and producing promotional material which meets everyone’s demands.

I would love to incorporate suggestions and learn from my fellow members so feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].

Irem Recebli

My interest in entrepreneurship started with High School's Entrepreneurship Competition of Junior Achievement Turkey where my team achieved second place in the category of the best marketing for our startup ‘Simple’ where I worked as a communications manager. My interest in entrepreneurship got elevated with UCLE. I loved the variety of speakers from different startups. I enjoyed attending the networking socials where I met with people from startups like Kickstart. UCLE also provided internship opportunities for us in interesting startups like Metalchemy where I found my ideal summer internship.

UCLE society means a lot to me so I feel urged to contribute to our society and committee with the director of marketing role. Having the privilege of being a part of UCLE committee will allow me to use what I have already learned throughout my previous marketing and communications related experiences to make an impact on this society. If I get elected, my priority will be increasing UCLE’s visibility and presence in the most prestigious startup events and fairs in both online and offline platforms to improve its reputation and awareness. I will work collaboratively with the other divisions of our society to spread the word about all our events and happenings via promotional materials on our social media pages. I will keep our society informed through Weekly Newsletters.

Please don’t hesitate to approach me with questions. I can’t wait to start improving our society!
