Dance Society: Transcendence Producer

Hey everyone!

My name is Gemma and I am running for TranscenDance producer! After being freshers’ rep this year, I’ve realised how much I enjoy being a part of dance society and engaging with everyone. As freshers’ rep, I was selected to be part of the TD prod team and I loved the experience. Being part of the production team, I helped Marie, our TD producer this year, with anything she needed me for, e.g. Finding a photographer and putting up spectator tickets. I cherish this experience as it helped me develop better communication skills talking to different photographers, alongside organisation skills for all the logistics and admin work I will need to do if chosen for next year’s TD producer.

As I was part of the production team, I feel that it has given me a good perspective on how stressful the competition day may be, and how to calmly solve any problems that may come up on the day. If I get elected, my aim is to get the competition back to running in December and possibly even do special awards at the end of the competition! I believe it would be a fun way to end the day alongside the freestyle section right before awards.

I am committed to making TD an enjoyable experience for everyone, competitors and spectators alike; and would definitely love to try taking on the challenge of being TD producer next year so VOTE FOR ME;)
