Treasurer

As a law student at UCL deeply passionate about green technology, environmental law, and sustainability, I am excited to run for Treasurer of the Environmental Law and Life Science Society.

My commitment to financial stewardship and strategic planning is exemplified by my role as the Head of Finance for Project Ancora, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of stray dogs in Singapore. In this position, I successfully secured sponsorships, collaborated closely with budgeting and accounting processes, and managed the pricing structure for our merchandise. Through these efforts, I prioritised maximising profits to fund essential care for animals. This experience has not only honed my financial acumen but also instilled in me the importance of fiscal responsibility for a meaningful cause. Additionally, my role as the Head of Finance for the Physics Society involved daily financial operations and strategic budget governance activities.

I aim to bring a proactive approach to financial management, emphasising transparency, accountability, and strategic financial planning. Leveraging my experience in both non-profit and student organisation settings, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the society's financial stability and its pursuit of initiatives that align with our shared environmental values. I am dedicated to contributing to the society's financial stability and supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability.

As the event manager for term 1, I hope to continue contributing to ELLS in new ways as the treasurer. With an understanding of the relevant responsibilities and the finances of the society, I am confident that I will perform well as the treasurer.
