I'm already a third year PhD student but I have been much more involved with RAX over the past year compared to my first two. I have always been a runner and I have come to love both the social and competitive sides of the sport. It would be great to have the opportunity to lead the post-graduate runs over the next year because RAX has such a welcoming community and I would love to be a part of that. If elected, I would try my best to follow in Adil's footsteps, leading the post-graduate runs with Project Active and always catering to any who want to attend. I'd also be willing to get involved and help out in other areas of the club when possible. Overall, I'd say my application comes down to the fact that I love being a member of RAX and would like to be even more involved over my final year at UCL!

Hello everyone! My name is Ethan 👋
Running has such an amazing effect on all of us. We can connect with others, laugh lots, and celebrate our successes together. We help one another to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. As we run together each week, compete in races and expand our horizons, we form lasting bonds with the people around us.
The postgraduate experience at RAX is all about this. Here’s what I can offer to make it even better:
-
👟Run-Leading Experience
I have led several 8k groups on Monday’s Social Runs this year. I am very experienced at independently running the bag drops at Bloomsbury Theatre, and I know Regents Park like the back of my hand.
-
🏅Responsibility
I help set up and lead the stretches at my Taekwondo class every Saturday. I am also very effective at communicating with large groups of people, having been a member of a public speaking club in Holborn since June 2023. These skills translate really well to a leadership role on group runs at RAX.

🤝Community
I love welcoming new faces on the Postgraduate Runs, and I really cherish each and every person who returns week after week. I look forward to nurturing the uplifting, friendly and inclusive culture that the current Postgraduate Officer has done a superb job of establishing.
Whether you are thinking of running your first, 100th or 10,000th run with us at RAX next academic year, everyone is welcome. I look forward to meeting you and running together!
