Hello! I'm Zak, a PhD student in the STS department, and I'm running to be your Welfare Officer :)

As someone actively involved in UCL's lovely little quizzing community, I was really happy to see that we were finally getting our own Quiz Society, so I'd love to help make sure that this new society can continue to grow and thrive next year to become a staple of UCL campus life. Having attended a few QuizSoc events already, I've seen how much demand there is at UCL for fun, well-curated quizzes with high-quality questions and relaxed, friendly, open vibes. As Welfare Officer, I would do my best to make sure that everyone feels safe and welcome at these events,  across all of the diverse backgrounds and identities represented in our university's community.

I'm always glad to listen to any concerns, big or small, and I would strive to be an approachable, familiar face that people feel comfortable coming to if they want to talk about something this society could be doing better. I hope you'll vote for me to be a Welfare Officer who keeps working to make QuizSoc as inclusive, accessible and communal as possible - so that the only thing you'll need to worry about is remembering that all-important bit of trivia you read on Wikipedia five years ago.
