Hi I’m Ashley and I’m running to be your next President! I’ve been with UCL Pole Fitness for a year now - I started as a baby poler and can now proudly say I’ve represented UCL, competing all the way to Nationals! I’ve grown so much with the club and would love to give back and bring new ideas to the table next year 💙💜
As president, I will:
- Increase Variety of Classes
- One off classes for choreography, strength + conditioning, floorwork (off the pole choreography = more space and spots!)
- Regular pole jams - low pressure, good vibes , freestyling practice
- Increase Recognition and Marketing
- Showcases on a larger scale - including a big one in Blooms Theatre
- Promoting merch during showcases
- Photoshoots (who wouldn't want some gorgeous pics of your favourite moves?) and more social media content (blooper and highlight reels)
- Regular pole spotlights to highlight our incredible members!
- Increase Competition Team Support
- Implement a mentorship scheme for choreo/tricks advice
- Highlight competitors on social media
- Audition guidance to increase initial sign ups (it’s not as scary as it seems!)
- More practice with stage poles
- Dedicated competition workshops + feedback sessions
- Community, Inclusion & Awards
- Get involved with wider UCL campaigns like This Girl Can and Project Active
- “Bring a Friend” scheme to encourage more people to try pole
- Pole wear swap for sustainability and an excuse for more cute outfits

Hi! I'm Izel :)
(you might have seen me in the first round of the elections already), I'd love to be your president or treasurer next year. I'm excited to create an empowering space where everyone feels welcome, feels free to express themselves and most importantly have fun ! I would love to listen and have some feedback to improve our society the best way we can. Being organised gives me the ability to handle the pressure that these two roles will most likely have, I am ready to work with all of you and start a new year with the Pole society whether it is as your president or treasurer:)
