Hey everyone! My name is Danilo and I am applying to be your Welfare Officer! I know the importance of online communities for UCL and I have strived to make sure that all students have access to online spaces and host regular online events in various societies. If elected, I want to increase the presence of this Society in order to reach more students and ensure that as many students as possible are able to make friends virtually, and I want to collaborate more with different universities, societies and networks, especially the Disabled Students Network and many other societies, which will also encourage other student groups to host more online activities. I also will work with UCL and the support services to organise online Information Sessions and I will also host regular online socials such as SpeedFriendings, movie nights and game nights, and want to set up a virtual book club in the society too. As Welfare Officer, I will do regular Welfare Checks and I will always be here for all of our members and signpost and help whenever I can. Most of all, I want to ensure that the society is a very welcoming place where members can make friends and enjoy their time at university. I have been in many committees and I have a lot of experience and connections which I think will be vital in this society, and I have a lot of experience in helping students and signposting.
