Election post
Being Nepali has always been a big part of my identity - whether it was celebrating festivals with family friends, helping out at local gatherings, or just growing up surrounded by our culture and values. That experience has shaped how much I care about keeping our community close and connected, especially while we’re away from home.
I’ve been an active member of the society for two years, so I understand the effort and thought that goes into making every event special. Events like momo night this year have been a fantastic way to bring together the Nepali student communities across London, helping us connect over shared culture and good food. As Vice President, I’d love to host events like this more frequently to keep that sense of connection and celebration going throughout the year.
As a committee member of Surgical Society, I’ve gained valuable experience in running a society and coordinating events - including the OMFS x Plastic Surgery Conference. These skills have prepared me well to take on the responsibilities of Vice President and contribute meaningfully to the Nepalese Society. I’ve also spent countless hours mastering my momo folding, which I’m sure will be beneficial.
I’m excited to join the team and help make every event enjoyable and unforgettable.
