As Assistant Treasurer of The Economist’s Society, I’ve helped managed a substantial budget, coordinated across five divisions, and helped deliver high-impact events. This experience has not only sharpened my financial and organisational skills, but shown me the value of efficient, compassionate leadership. I’m running for Welfare Officer to bring that same proactive, strategic mindset to a broader role - supporting our members’ academic, social, and personal wellbeing while helping lead the Society’s direction. My finance internships at Albany Investments, UBS, and Morgan Stanley have taught me how to think critically, plan meticulously, and lead under pressure. As former Head Boy, I’ve built inclusive communities and driven initiatives that worked for everyone. I see Welfare not as a side role, but as a central one especially since it overlaps with the role of a traditional vice president in a society, ensuring that every student’s voice is heard and needs are met. I’m ready to be your next welfare officer and take on responsibilities of welfare and vice president and am deeply committed to our Society’s success.
