Ina Natseva
My name is Ina, Y3 student on the MEng.
I want to be your Career Lead as I believe this is one of the least developed areas of our degree. Throughout the last two years, I saw myself and many of my classmates, struggling to find internships, wasting hours and hours researching and rewriting the same applications. I want to change this experience for ourselves and the future classes. I believe the SEAD is a perfect opportunity to do so.
What I will do
I will work in three key areas:
1) making our course known to potential employers (by contacting practices and advertising us, creating an official letter to present us)
2) making sure you know how/when/where to apply and "sell" yourself best (organizing workshops, an alumni network, list of companies/practices of interest, guidance, working closely with personal tutors and UCL Careers)
3) connecting you and potential employers to create opportunities (networking events, visits etc.)
Why me
I think I am the best person for the job and here is why:
1) I am one of you and am motivated to make the 'career' experience better for myself and you
2) I have experience with other societies and know how the SU works
3) I have good connections with tutors/lecturers and can find necessary contacts within the course and industry
4) I am friendly, open and very talkative, don't hesitate to contact me
In conclusion: Vote Ina for a better experience looking for jobs/internships as an MEng student!!!
