I believe I would be a good candidate for this position as I have learnt Portuguese by myself so I know how it feels to be a beginner in a language. I know there is hope and everyone can learn. I also have experience teaching English to both adults and children. I am aware the society is planning on creating opportunities for Portuguese-speaking people to learn English, so my background in languages would be useful.
