Communication Society: Events Officer

I am standing for the role of events officer within the Communication Society because I think that public speaking is an extremely valuable skill, and that this committee is instrumental in developing this skills within the UCL community. I want to both help myself and others in getting out of their comfort zone to face their fear of public speaking. I’d like to help in increasing membership, improving attendance & engagement within the workshops, as well as to partner with other societies to host events.

I'm a third-year student studying UCL statistics, economics, and finance. I joined this society this year and become an event officer.

I am a determined and progressive person. I can assess the situation and choose the steps needed to resolve a case. Being introverted means I learn by making mistakes, in fact, they made me realize how far I've come and what I still need to accomplish to be successful. I am a hard worker, I can work perfectly under pressure and multitask.

I will take responsibility for being an event officer and I strongly believe that I have the qualities to fit this role.
