Bubble Tea Society: Event Officer

Hi I’m Justin! I'm in my 2nd year studying medicine and am running for Events Officer for Bubble Tea Society. The events last year were amazing, especially the make-your-own bubble tea workshop with Biju. It was a lot of fun since you got to see the magic behind the counter! A core memory that I made last year was through this: making matcha salted cream boba and talking to lots of other people. As Events Officer I want to bring this again but do MORE. One of the things I want to achieve is to increase inclusivity, because I feel that bubble tea can be for all people because of its diverse variety of drinks to choose from!

So, one way I would love to achieve this is to run the event twice this year. There are lots of other events I envision for bubble tea society this year such as movie nights, study dates as well as collaborate with other societies. I want to make sure that these events are fun and engaging for all bubble tea lovers on campus by having to hear what the people want out of this society so that I can cater these events to you guys!

As an organised individual, I believe that I can do these things to the best of my ability, bringing in some familiar events as well as some new enjoyable ideas. I hope to be your Events Officer this year and can do all these events with you guys!!

Hi everyone! I’m Alessia and I’m a Second Year languages student from London.. but before anything else I am a boba enthusiast. As events officer I would aim to make Bubble Tea Soc an engaging, creative society. I would organise various exciting social events such as Film Nights, Arts and Craft activities, Quiz Nights and more! My extensive knowledge of the best (and worst) bubble tea places in London will undoubtedly prove useful as-well! I would also love to collaborate with other Societies in order to expand interest in our society and appeal to the diverse interests of UCL students! I am always open to new ideas and suggestions in order to make Bubble Tea Society a positive environment for everyone; whether you’re a milk tea enthusiast or fruit tea lover, popping pearl defender or tapioca aficionado! 

I am a bubble tea addict.

As an events officer I would organize consistent visits to the best places that you can't really find online . As well, I will get creative and collaborate with other societies and shops ( biju ? ) to do events like workshops and socials.
