Honourable Delegates of the Postgrad Alliance in UNA,

The MUN postgraduate experience is not for the weak - facing a sea of confident freshers can be strangely intimidating when you're the postgrad minority. But having a completed bachelor’s degree should never disqualify us from shaping the direction of our favourite society - the United Nations Association!

As Postgraduate Representative at UCL UNA, I would use my position to amplify postgraduate voices within the society, build bridges between our disciplines, and make global issues more tangible for the student community. I want to popularise our events to invite more master’s and PhD students so that more postgraduates feel invited into the conversation.

Over the past weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of you. As a master's student from the Chemical Engineering department at UCL East, I’m also personally aware of the challenges that UCLE postgraduates face in attending training sessions due to inconvenient scheduling. I would advocate for a more convenient start time and propose organising a dedicated postgraduate MUN session and social in the first term, so we can connect and collaborate more easily.

Postgraduate students can become key actors in advancing the UCLUNA mission. It would be an honour to facilitate that process.

I yield my time for PoI

(a.k.a. feel free to DM me with any questions or if you'd join a PG board games night)
