Shazil Kashif Sabeeh

Hey everyone, I'm Shazil Kashif.

I'm running to be an Event Secretary to contribute the skills I have learned and developed over the years to make Street Aid Society stand out even more. I am ecstatic about the chance to represent all of you and make my mark on one of the best societies in the Student Union. Previously, I have conducted multiple donation drives, tree-plantation campaigns, and social protests.  One fun fact about me is that I helped facilitate the first child court in my home country (Pakistan), allowing young people to be given an equal and fair platform to defend themselves and speak out for what's right (it's important to consider that most of these children are wrongly accused and are used as scape goats by the powerful elite to suffer the consequences of things that weren't even their fault). One of the main ideas I have is to create a food bank in or near UCL Bloomsbury Campus, where students can donate food items that would otherwise go to waste. In this way, we can prevent food waste along with giving back to our community. These items can be given to the underprivileged individuals in our community who need our help the most.

I truly love helping people out, and I see myself doing this for the rest of my life. I plan to bring this passion to everything I will do for this society.  Thank you for taking out the time to read this. Have an amazing rest of your day!
