Election post
I am standing for Technical Officer because I’m deeply passionate about robotics and eager to help the UCL Robotics Society grow as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Over the past few years, I’ve designed and built multiple robotic systems, including a 6-DOF robotic arm, a tendon-driven robotic wrist (“Omni Dexter”), and a humanoid robot. I’ve also led projects integrating computer vision (YOLOv8) and multimodal AI for intelligent perception and decision-making.
As Technical Officer, I aim to make our society’s workshops and projects more technically engaging and accessible. I want to establish structured technical training sessions, enhance the documentation of ongoing builds, and support members in mastering tools like ROS, CAD, and embedded systems. My experience with mechanical design, control systems, and AI integration allows me to assist teams across diverse technical domains.
I believe in fostering an environment where members not only build robots but also understand the reasoning behind each subsystem. With a balance of creativity, engineering rigor, and mentorship, I hope to contribute to advancing both the society’s projects and its community spirit.
