I’m Salomé Williams, and I’m running to be your next Head of Events for the Moroccan Society. For me, events aren’t just things we attend - they’re moments where our culture, creativity, and friendships come alive. They’re what make our society feel like family.
As Head of EDI at my previous school, I saw how powerful cultural representation can be. I helped introduce pan-African culture through projects like hair education sessions and cultural days that built pride and understanding. I’ve also coordinated large events, handling everything from planning and budgeting to promotion - skills I can’t wait to bring here.
I’d love to bring that same energy to the Moroccan Society: a Moroccan Street Market Night, a Cooking Class, and a Photography Exhibition - Morocco Through Our Eyes - to share our culture’s colour and creativity. And a Desert Dreams Gala to celebrate in style.
More than anything, I want our events to carry the warmth and generosity that define Moroccan culture - and reflect everyone’s ideas and talents. With your support, we’ll make this year full of connection, creativity, and memories as vibrant as Morocco itself.
