If elected, I would aim to:
1. Build on our growing education programme with regular tutorials, interactive talks, and research-focused sessions led by students and academics.
2. Promote funded research opportunities such as the Rani Rawji Studentship and support early-year students in finding their first research experiences.
3. Raise the profile of pathology within MedSoc through joint events, career panels, and collaborations with other specialities.
These aims will make pathology more accessible and relevant to all medical students while showcasing its vital role in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
I have experience leading the organisation of UCL National Pathology Week 2025 and developing a new series of histopathology tutorials in collaboration with UCL faculty. I am also currently involved in research under the Head of Pathology at UCL, which has deepened my understanding of the field and its clinical relevance. Through these projects, I have built strong links with students, academics, and organisations, and learned how to plan, promote, and deliver engaging events effectively.
I am passionate about making pathology an exciting and approachable part of medical education at UCL. My goal is to build a welcoming and dynamic community that supports curiosity, research, and appreciation for the science that underpins modern medicine.
Thank you for reading my manifesto, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to discuss my ideas further.
