Heyy, I'm Sara, a second-year Mathematics with Economics student who is keen to discover new ways to run unique events, ranging from academic workshops and alumni talks to a murder mystery night and themed ball. My goal is to create opportunities for ADM members to not only grow their academic and professional knowledge but also to build connections and genuinely feel part of the community.

Founding and leading the STEM society, running the School Council, and managing group competitions throughout sixth form taught me how to effectively plan and deliver complex ideas, something I would bring to this role, especially by ensuring each event is inclusive, engaging, and enjoyable.

If elected, some possible events I’d love to introduce are:

  • Campus Scavenger Hunt: Solve maths-themed puzzles around UCL campus.
  • Murder Mystery Night: Uncover clues hidden in quantitative riddles to solve a “whodunnit.”
  • Debate Night: Discuss stimulating topics, for example “This House Believes randomness doesn’t exist and is a consequence of our limited knowledge.”
  • Games Night: Featuring themed trivia quizzes, a GeoGuessr tournament, board games etc.
  • Panel Discussions: Involving lecturers, academics, alumni, or industry experts followed by informal networking and Q&A’s.
  • Inter-Society Events: Collaborating with different societies to run memorable activities such as Pi(e) Day with the Baking Society.
