Hi everyone! Im Jai, a second year student studying History and Italian. 8 years ago, I decided to learn Italian and I have learnt to love the language, people and culture.
This year I am running to be your Italian Society External Affairs Officer. As a member of the Italian Society I want to ensure you the members are the getting the most engagement through:
- Partnering with leading Institutions in London
- Working with other committee members to facilitate activities with other Societies within and outside of UCL
- Organising key speakers for important events throughout the university-year.
As your External Affairs Officer I have had extensive previous experience with co-ordinating and communicating with other societies and institutions: a few years ago I worked with the House of Lords to initiate a 24- hour cycle charity as a fundraiser from my school; as President of Italian Society at Dulwich College I organised a number of key-note speakers; at my previous school I invited leading politicians and artists to give talk to students.
