History Society: Freshers' Representative

Hi! I’m Maia, and I’m running to be your Freshers’ Representative for the History Society!

I’ve absolutely loved getting involved since joining, and I’d love the chance to help other freshers feel just as welcomed and excited about the society as I do. Starting university is scary, and having a friendly point of contact can make a real difference. I want to be that person for you, someone approachable, reliable, and ready to listen.

As Freshers’ Rep, I’d make it my mission to keep everyone in the loop, help organise socials and study events that bring people together, and make sure every fresher feels included, not just at the start of term but throughout the year, especially non-history students like me who might feel a bit different/isolated from everyone else! I’d also make sure your ideas and feedback reach the committee.

I’m friendly, enthusiastic, and the least judgmental person ever (no, seriously, I've gone through every phase in the world, NOTHING surprises me or irks me). I’d love to help the society continue to be a welcoming, engaging, and slightly nerdy home for all of us who love the past.
