Why I’m the Right Candidate

Since 1st August, I have been serving as the interim Treasurer of Financial Literacy Matters Society, supporting the President through the annual registration process and day-to-day financial management. Over this term I’ve completed our annual budget, set up an event budget template for the committee to use, and monitored our SU finance account so that payments and reimbursements are processed correctly and on time. Combined with my finance-related studies at UCL and experience in other society roles, this has prepared me to keep our finances organised, transparent, and focused on student impact.

My Commitment

Financial Literacy Matters Society exists to make money management less intimidating and more accessible to everyone. As Treasurer, my role is to make sure every pound we spend reflects that purpose.

  • Putting members first: I will prioritise events and resources that directly help students improve their financial confidence and decision-making.
  • Transparency & accountability: I will provide clear summaries of how our funds are used and be open to member questions about our spending.
  • Building for the future: I will help the committee make prudent financial decisions so the society can continue growing beyond this year.
