European Society: Academic Officer

I am a BA History student with a Spanish background but I have grown up in both the UK and Spain. I have a keen interest in Europe’s role in present and future world politics. I want to contribute to this society by promoting debate on current issues. I would also like to both contribute and learn to work in environments of team work and organisation. As Academic Officer, I want to give our members the opportunity to hear from influential people with experience and expertise in today's world. I believe that, as young people, we have a pivotal role to play in an increasingly polarised political, social, and economic environment. I think that the European identity and all that it means to be European must be revisited by our generation. Above all, I want to give our members the chance to immerse themselves in the rich and dynamic cultures of Europe and to take part in an intercultural exchange of ideas.
