To my fellow engineers,
My name is Sidharth Ajay Asoka, and I’m a first year Mechanical Engineering student. Like many of you, I’m passionate about exploring every corner of engineering, from aerospace to energy to biotechnology. I believe every discipline, no matter how big or small, deserves to be represented. At UCL, where we have such a diverse community of engineers, ALL OF YOU deserve to have your voices heard and your interests supported!
That’s why I’m running to be your First Year Representative for the Engineering Society.
Having lived between India, Japan, and the UK, my cultural experiences allow me to easily connect with everyone. I’ve served as a student mentor and prefect, supporting others academically and personally, and I’ve led projects like building an RC plane and founding a biomimicry magazine. My interests, fused with my passion for helping others, will make an effective candidate for this role.
As your rep, I’ll prioritize communication and accessibility by making my WhatsApp, email, and LinkedIn public so you can easily reach me. I’ll also help make the Engineering Society Instagram more active with polls, updates, and opportunities. You can also find me at the Science Library or Engineering Cafe for a chat.
I’ll be a reliable and approachable representative who ensures your ideas are heard and acted upon. So please, for the betterment of all UCL engineers, vote for me.
