I’m a Final Year medical student with a keen interest Dermatology and a passion for helping others learn about it. Prior to Medical School, I was always very passionate about skincare and skin education, my friends always knew me as the one to come to for skin advice. After completing my Dermatology placements; and undertaking additional research projects, clinical experiences, and teaching, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the specialty; which I would love to build on even more! I’ve noticed disparities in education and have seen first hand how others can benefit from accessible and engaging dermatology teaching. Often people find Derm confusing and this is something I want to help tackle.

If elected as Academic Officer, I’d love to:
• Create more interactive and case-based learning sessions that make dermatology enjoyable and easy to understand.
• Organise revision events and Q&As with dermatologists and trainees to give students more insight into the specialty.
• Help students get involved in dermatology research or educational projects early on in their studies through advice and how to make use of their time.
• Explain the basics of Dermatoscopy and how to do it and complete Dermatology referrals, following guidelined criteria.

I’m enthusiastic, approachable, and genuinely motivated to make learning about Dermatology engaging for everyone. I’d be really grateful for the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, energy, and dedication to the society’s academic team.
