I am standing because of my love of wheelchair basketball and the people that dedicate their time to the sport. After my disability forced me to step down from my able-bodied sports, I thought I had lost my identity of being an athlete. However, when my community showed me the realm of adaptive sports, I had a second chance and a new outlook on my life. I would be honored to spread my passion with others and become a team captain for the UCL Wheelchair Basketball Club. I will be committed to making sure everyone is safe, welcome, and challenged to hone their skills!
