Election post
About me: I’m someone who thrives on connection. I love creating spaces that feel alive, warm, and full of energy. I’ve always been drawn to bringing people together through shared culture, conversation, and creativity. I’m social and organised but also intentional, and I care about making every event feel like something people remember, not just attend.
Relevant experience: At UCL, I’ve been on committees for the Law Society, Fashion Business Society, and Tennis Society, where I helped organise events that blended professionalism with fun. With Fashion Business, I managed outreach and helped secure speakers from Vogue and major brands. In Law Society, I worked on campaigns and collaborations that increased engagement, and through Tennis, I coordinated training sessions and socials for more than 200 members.
Outside UCL, I interned at Al Jazeera, where I learned how to tell stories that connect people and communicate across cultures. That experience strengthened my creativity, teamwork, and ability to make every project feel purposeful and engaging.
Intentions: The North Arab and African Society feels like home. It’s a space where identity, pride, and community come together. I want to build on that by helping host top tier cultural nights, networking events, and collaborations with other societies across universities that celebrate who we are. I want every event to feel authentic, welcoming, and full of life, a reflection of both our shared roots and individual stories.
