Election post
I’m standing as I want to make Diplomacy Society accessible and appealing to a diverse group of students through engaging and impactful marketing. As the marketing officer I would work to create a space that is simultaneously insightful and captivating. Diplomacy Society has allowed me to explore my interests in US relations with multilateral organisations and I aim to promote a space where students can cultivate their own interests. With experience in creating social media content (including video editing) for my own non-profit organisation, ProjectForHer, I’ve refined my editing skills and learned to craft messages that garners engagement and resonates with varied demographics. By curating compelling content, I aim to deepen student understanding of diplomacy and international relations, fostering discussions that both support and challenge their perspectives on pressing issues in today’s global climate. I’ve also worked on the social media team of an NGO, Manushya Foundation, where I’ve had to acclimate to multiple editing platforms such as Canva, Final Cut Pro and WordPress to further the NGO’s online presence. Furthermore, my experience working for a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) consulting firm has helped me gain insight into what would push content to the forefront of public interest. I would bring the same dedication and experience to Diplomacy Society, elevating its online presence and creating a hub where diplomatic issues feel both accessible and compelling.
