Welcome to the Club and Society Principal Officers WhatsApp Community. 

This is a space for principal officers to share ideas, learn from each other and build connections across student groups. It's here to help you meet, collaborate and make friends.   

Please: 

  • Be respectful and constructive. 
  • Keep discussions relevant to running clubs and societies.  
  • Share your advice and experience, but remember that official guidance always takes priority. 
  • Use the correct Students’ Union UCL processes for approvals, finance, incidents, complaints and support requests – a good place to start is the Committee Hub. 
  • This is not a space for campaigning for office or awards – doing this could put you in breach of the election rules. 
  • Respect everyone's privacy. Don't share personal information, screenshots or messages outside the community without permission. 
  • Help create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome to participate. 

We may remove content or members where behaviour falls below these expectations. Participation is voluntary and membership is limited to current principal officers. 

Before you post

✅ Ask for ideas, recommendations and shared experiences 
✅ Find partners for collaborations and events 
✅ Share good practice and useful resources 
✅ Connect with other student leaders 

❌ Request approvals or decisions 
❌ Share campaign materials (this could breach election rules) 
❌ Raise complaints or concerns 
❌ Report incidents or emergencies 
❌ Expect a response from Union staff
