Maya Khurana, 23/24 Arts Officer

Maya Khurana, Arts Officer, shares her biggest highlights and why you should get involved in artsUCL.

Having gotten to work with so many incredible people and societies over the past few years, I knew for a while that I wanted to continue that involvement within artsUCL on a broader scale for my final year.

I’ve been in this role for about nine months now, just since the end of July, and getting to participate in Activities Zones, and work with the Activities Team on events such as Winter Arts Festival, has truly been a such a great experience.

I’ve had the pleasure to be involved in a few different shows over this year, including Jazz Society’s Grooves From the Arcade, and Musical Theatre Society’s Chess. However, in terms of Blooms shows, my personal passion project has to be Rhapsody 2024: Legacy, which I was the producer for. Getting to work with such an amazing and talented cast, production team, and crew of over 100 people has definitely been one of my favourite memories of my time at UCL.

Something for everyone

There truly is something for everyone! With the sheer number of performance opportunities, media publications, classes, workshops, production team roles, and more, there’s so many ways people can get involved and enjoy everything artsUCL has to offer!
