Imagine the joy of hosting a delightful tea party, celebrating British traditions of afternoon tea, and gaining hands-on experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.

If this sounds exciting then Share Community x UCL has the best one-off opportunity for you!

Share Community is a charity that works with disabled people who need extra help and support to realise their dreams and aspirations. We have four centres for learning and wellbeing in south London. Our aim is to help people live happier, healthier, and more independent lives, and make their own choices. And we need friendly, enthusiastic people like you to make it happen!

We run an ‘Independent Living Skills’ programme, aimed at helping disabled people to learn how to look after themselves at home. We teach practical classes ranging from laundry to active citizenship.

We also want everyone at Share Community to develop friendships and enjoy a wide variety of social activities, so we would like to throw a party!

With the support of UCL volunteers we’re going to host a traditional tea party celebrating British Food Week, including an afternoon tea made with British ingredients.
