Would you like to help a charity or community organisation at this time?

Social Hackathons are problem-solving/solution-creating events that take place over the course of one working day. Groups of UCL students will be placed with a local not-for-profit organisation, devising and implementing solutions to issues they are currently facing. Our upcoming series of Social Hackathons happening this November will be held remotely and online over Zoom.

Working in a team with other UCL volunteers, you’ll develop skills, learn about the Third Sector from its own professionals and connect with new communities across London - all from the comfort of your own home! Over 75 UCL students took part in our previous virtual Social Hackathons last July, including: helping a charity source free tech devices for their service users who cannot afford them, designing an employability process for people with Asperger’s, and helping a charity redesign their website. Sounds cool right? Apply for our November Hackathons to take part in more awesome events.
