Name of Event: Respect for the Aged Day 2019

Volunteer Role:  Third Age Project is a multi-cultural self-help older people’s charity with over 400 registered members who originate from across the world. Respect for the Elderly Day is a bank holiday in Japan, a country that is has 1 in 3 of the population over 65 years of age. It is a celebration of the life experience of the elderly.

We are looking for volunteers to help with a range of activity workshops at this event eg. how to put on a Kimono, sushi making, Japanese games and as stewards.

This opportunity would be of interest to people with a knowledge about,  or interest in Japanese culture. This event is in conjunction with the Japan Society about all things Japanese!

When: Thursday 19 September 2019, from 13:30 – 16:30

Where: Third Age Project, Cumberland Market, London, NW1 3RH

Volunteer Places: 6 maximum
